Players can take on routes set in the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone in 1986, as well as modern-day maps located in China and Iceland. The game is also available on PC and Xbox Series X|S.
Bus World is developed by KishMish Games, an indie studio known for Metro Simulator 2 and FlyCorp. The game first launched on PC in 2023. Currently, Bus World holds a 72% positive rating on Steam, based on nearly 1,800 reviews. The console versions were prepared and published by Ultimate Games S.A.

Outside of the prepared scenarios, players can also create their own routes in free-ride mode.
One of the most intriguing maps is based on the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone in 1986 - depicting the period before and after the nuclear plant disaster. Another map transports players to modern-day southern China, where they must navigate narrow roads and deal with the risk of extreme weather conditions such as tsunamis, floods, and earthquakes. Completing the set is modern-day Iceland, featuring remote routes, harsh terrain, and potential volcanic eruptions.
